Today I had the opportunity to shoot engagement photos for two of my closest friends and it was the best time I have had in a while! The photo above is me shooting a solo photo of Charlie, taken on my iPhone 4s. Since I got the 4s on release day I have become more and more impressed with the quality of the camera and I find myself using it even more than I did on my iPhone 4. Ahh, this is SO cool to me. There is this great book out called The Ruins of Detroit that is chock full of photos that show just how run down and abandoned Detroit is. There looks to be so much opportunity here for a revival, but with the current state of the entire city it is pretty unlikely than anyone in their right mind is going to sink any (more) money into Detroit. This is my favorite shot of the ones i’ve seen, it is just so crazy that something so beautiful can just sit there uninhabited. Pick up your copy of the book here, because honestly, you need to get those coloring books off your coffee table.
