If you are following my blog you have probably already figured out that I am a photographer by trade, that being the case I have finally put together a page on Facebook for my fans to congregate! Do me a huge favor and head over there and like my page, www.facebook.com/ShootJoeC
As far as inexpensive dolly’s go I have to say this one is pretty cool. I’m not sure how well it would do with the weight of my Canon 5dmk2 but it may be worth it for my iPhone or point and shoot. Check out some of the details by heading over to their site, HERE.
Uh, yes please! I am a huge fan of Jurassic Park, I mean whats not to like? It has carnage, dinosaurs, and fucking Newman! I am of course only speaking about the first movie because the other two are a waste of the plastic they are made on. The trilogy is just $48 and available October 28th on Amazon. Special requests for my order: toss parts two and three in the garbage for me.
Wow. I am taken aback by this video. For once in my life I am at a loss for words. Being a heavily tattooed person one of the biggest issues I deal with in my life is the lack of acceptance of tattoos in our society. Anyone who has had to cover their tattoos for a job or anything else in life can more than likely agree with me on that.
So I ask, do these two photos make you think differently of me?

Clean car, clean video. That is all.
Pretty much everyone in the world already knows about Danny Macaskill but that doesn’t mean I can’t share his newest video! One of my favorites for sure, so kick back and watch Danny do what you can’t!
Not much to say about how amazing this is. I have used Montana cans before and there is nothing like them in the world. Watch the video to get an idea of the process behind this great company.
Awesome production quality and content. This is the type of video I strive to make.
Awesome film by Jarrett Lee Conway about finding true love, aptly named “Foolishly Seeking True Love.” Conway was chosen by Stephen Spielberg out of 12,000 filmmakers to compete in a Fox Reality Series. Check out his vimeo page for more info.
Today I made a “steadycam” for my Samsung Galaxy S. It cost me $1.98 and it works great!

As with all of my videos, please watch in 1080p if possible, thanks!
Testing out my new indiSLIDER mini deluxe on Christmas Day. The first Christmas for my little man.
So far my feelings on the indiSLIDER is that it takes a good bit of practice and even more patience to get great results out of this piece of equipment, but when you put the time in you can really get amazing results, all for under $200!
I shot this with my Canon 5d Mark II and a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. I did have a d-focus Follow Focus attached to the camera but I didn’t really utilize it for this video. I also used the indisystem pro dslr rails, which have been nothing but awesome aside from the fact that the edges are all really sharp and I have cut up the top of both of my hands as well as all eight knuckles trying to tighten and loosen different things, but that is nobody’s fault but my own!
Amazing. Shot on a Canon t2i with a kit lens. For all you people out there talking about ‘you can’t make a good film without expensive gear,’ a T2i with a kit lens is well under $1000. Boom!
The overhead shots in this video were shot on a Canon 5d Mark 2 that was attached to a radio controlled helicopter. Yes, a radio controlled helicopter.
If you have a little bit of time to kill and want to see how amazing visual art is getting with the help of technology, you should go visit the new Arcade Fire website:

I am not going to even attempt to explain how great it is, just go there and try for yourself. You get to hear a great song if nothing else.
I just finished watching Cocaine Angel a few minutes ago. It was a really great film, it was so honest and real. The score/soundtrack was great too, a lot of piano pieces with a Yann Tiersen feel to them and it ended with an awesome song by Ola Podrida. I highly recommend this movie, you can even watch it right now if you have netflix on demand. Do yourself a favor and check out Ola Podrida here if you haven’t already.
